The 2011 Niswonger Children’s Hospital Golf Classic will take place at The Ridges Country Club on June 27.
Dallas Cowboys football star Jason Witten will return this year, and he will be joined by Bobby Scott of the New Orleans Saints; Carroll Dale of the Green Bay Packers; PGA star Corey Pavin; basketball legend Skip Brown; Bob Kesling, the Voice of the Vols; and Bruce Pearl, former men’s basketball coach for the University of Tennessee.
The tournament is limited to just 100 players and has sold out each of the last six years. Funds from this year’s event will purchase new ventilators for the neonatal intensive care unit at Niswonger Children’s Hospital.
“Last year, we raised $239,000, and we are looking forward to another great year,” said Patty Bolton, corporate director of special events for the Mountain States Foundation. “The people of this region have such big hearts and such a caring attitude; we are honored to be a part of this special event that enhances health care for the children of our region.”
Tickets are still available for the ParTee to be held June 26 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at The Blackthorn Club at The Ridges. Tickets are $100 per person. Attire is casual, and entertainment, food and drinks will be provided.
All guests will have the opportunity to bid on a Caribbean cruise for up to 12 adults on a private yacht; proceeds benefit Niswonger Children’s Hospital.
