Johnson City Turkey Trot takes place Nov. 22

The seventh annual Turkey Trot 5K Road Race and Family Fitness Walk is set for Thanksgiving morning in Johnson City.
The race begins at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22, at Legion Recreation Center, 111 Legion St., Johnson City.
Those registering early, before Friday, Nov. 16, are charged $20 to take part as a competitive runner or $15 to take part as a recreational walker. After Nov. 16, competitive runners will pay $25 and recreational walkers will pay $20. Children ages 6 and younger will be admitted free.
Early registrants are guaranteed a long-sleeved T-shirt. There will be no race day registration.

Forms may also be dropped off at Winged Deer Park, 4137 Bristol Highway, Johnson City, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., until Nov. 16.
Late registrations will be accepted online at until midnight Sunday, Nov. 18, and at Legion Recreation Center from 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, and from 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21.
