The Daniel Boone baseball team welcomed Sullivan South on Saturday afternoon as they celebrated Senior Day. However the Blazers weren’t cheerful after their 7-5 defeat by the Rebels.
A 5-run seventh inning doomed Daniel Boone, who headed into the final inning with a 5-2 lead.
South jumped on top first with two runs in the third inning, but the Blazers were able to tie things up after scoring one run in the third and another in the fourth. Three more runs in the sixth inning looked like it would deliver the game to the Blazers.
Ryan Keever led the way for Daniel Boone with two hits. While Joe Anderson drove in a run. Senior Gabe Sanders got the start on the mound for the home team, but was relieved after the third inning by Hunter Page. The Blazers return to the diamond on Monday when they travel to David Crockett.
