Daniel Boone rides a wave of emotion to win over Tennessee High

The final score was 46-29 in Daniel Boone’s favor, but the score was far from everyones mind when the clock hit 00.

Before the contest fans for both teams surrounded the entire playing surface as the wrapped around a circle formed by the Daniel Boone football team, Kaylee Rabun’s family and the volleyball team and had a moment of silence.

Charlie Cole rushed for 151 yards on 14 carries and found the end zone from 41 yards outs for his first career touchdown in high school.

Once the contest started, Mouin Tannous opened the game with a score from six yards out, which was answered by a Tennessee High touchdown. He then found pay dirt from 17 yards out.

In the second quarter, the Blazers busted ahead with a 20-0 quarter. Noah Shelton scored from two yards out, followed by a pick six by Calvin Carico from 19 yards out. Shelton then found Jake Chandler for a 29-yard score.

Those scores gave Boone a 32-7 halftime lead.
