Daniel Boone overcomes adversity but not able to top Elizabethton

Daniel Boone had to overcome losing junior quarterback Noah Shelton and a slew of turnovers, but they were still in the contest on Friday night.

The Blazers weren’t able to overcome Elizabethton, falling 14-6 on Friday night at Ken Green Field.

Daniel Boone lost Shelton during the first quarter to an elbow injury, sophomore Easton Harrell took the reins from there.

The lone score for the Blazers came when Mounin Tannous find the end zone from three yards out in the third quarter. Tannous finished the game with 46 yards on seven rushes. Freshman Charlie Cole led the Blazers with 56 yards on 14 carries.
