Crockett falls to Central, Boone loses to D-B

David Crockett High School’s boys’ basketball team took another hit last week, losing to Sullivan Central in a game that had been postponed from earlier in the season due to inclement weather.
Central defeated the Pioneers 68-62.
Crockett is scheduled to play Central again today, this time at Sullivan Central and then will play host to Elizabethton on Wednesday.
On Jan. 26, the Daniel Boone Trailblazers beat the winter storm to get a game in, but were unable to beat their opponent. Dobyns-Bennett defeated Boone 62-56.
Daniel Boone Trailblazers also came out with a loss against Dobyns-Bennett when the two met last Tuesday. The score at the final buzzer was D-B 62, Boone 56.
Leading scorers for Boone included: Kevin Connell, with 20 points; Austin Reppart and Travis Keever, with 10 each; Hayden Chandley with 9; Ryan Gaitor with 4; and Jordan Gray with 3.
Games scheduled on Friday for both Boone and Crockett were postponed due to the winter storm that moved in.
Boone is scheduled to play at Science Hill tonight and then play host on Wednesday to Happy Valley.
Current Big Eight Conference standings put Boone in fifth place with a 4-5 record in conference play and 12-7 overall. Crockett sits in last place in the conference with a 1-10 record in conference play and 6-13 overall.
