Crockett crowd and defense propel Pioneers to first victory



Fueled by a raucous student section that showed up in force, the David Crockett defense held the Howard Hustlin’ Tigers to 49 yards of total offense on their way to a 12-0 win.

The Pioneer defense tallied five fumble recoveries and held Howard to 49 yards and 46 carries, also not allowing the Hustlin’ Tigers to complete any of their seven passes.

Dylan Royston and Hunter Royston each recovered fumbles for the Pioneers, while Justin Eib recovered two fumbles while also forcing two. Logan Foster recovered his second fumble in as many games.

Offensively the Pioneers were led by TK Hill (17 carries, 63 yards) and Darian DeLapp (5 carries, 45 yards)
