Crocketts Deloach set to play ball for Milligan
David Crockett High School senior Drue Deloach may not know what he wants to major in at Milligan College just yet, but he knows hell be working as hard as he possibly can both academically and athletically.
Late last week, Deloach, the Pioneers starting catcher in baseball, signed a letter of intent to play ball for the Milligan Buffaloes.
I think Ill have the opportunity to start just as much as anyone else does, Deloach said. Im going to have to work as hard as I can. I just want to benefit the team as much as possible.
Deloach said he chose Milligan College because its a great school and the coaches have treated me great.
Deloach, the son of Chad Deloach and Carrie Estes and grandson of Gene and Brenda Deloach, also likes the idea of staying close to family and friends, he said.
While playing at Milligan, Deloachs Crockett roots will never be far from his mind either.
Going to Crockett gave me the opportunity to play as much as possible, he said. The coaches have been great to me. Its really been amazing.
