Botts ties for first in Tri-Cities Golf Club Junior Series

Jonesborough teen Zach Botts tied for first place in the Tri-Cities Golf Club Junior Series over the weekend.
Botts hit a 76 to tie with Hampton resident Cameron Dugger in the Boys 16-18 Division of the series June 11.
Meanwhile, Jonesborough’s Jack Rhea earned a second-place finish in the Boys 12-13 Division, where he hit a 39 to end the day at +3 and just two strokes behind first-place finisher William Nottingham of Kingsport.
Jonesborough’s Alex Bradford placed ninth in the same category while Dominick Haynes, also of Jonesborough, finished 17th in the division.
Several local residents placed in the series on June 7 as well.
Jonesborough resident Alex Bradford tied for sixth place in the Boys 12-13 Division of the golf tournament.
Bradford hit a 79, putting him eight strokes behind the first-place finisher.
Jonesborough’s Will Botts tied for 10th place in the same division, posting a score of 86 while golfing at the Blackthorn Club.
In the Boys 14-15 Division, Jonesborough resident Cole Keck came in 13th place with a 95.
Jonesborough’s Zach Hancock earned a 12th-place finish in the Boys 16-18 Division, hitting an 82 at Crossings Golf Club.
