Boone ties for top spot with win, Crockett racks up two wins

The Daniel Boone Lady Trailblazers blanked the Science Hill softball team on Thursday night, 10-0.
The game, which was delayed by rain for almost an hour, began with a 3-0 start by the Lady Blazers.
Senior Cora Baker had a home run which ended the game in the sixth inning, and the win moved Daniel Boone into a 7-2 tie with Science Hill in Big Eight Conference standings.
With her team adding nine hits and 10 runs, Baker picked up the win as a pitcher with 100 pitches and eight strikeouts.
Boones Jessie Wheelock hit 2-for-4 in the game, and Kellie Waycaster added a three-run home run.
On Tuesday, Boone proved too much for Volunteer, winning 6-2.
David Crockett also scored a win on Thursday night, 8-4, against Sullivan South. Crockett racked up 4 runs in the fourth inning to keep South in the dust.
Crockett pitcher Cynthia Hankal kept the Lady Rebels at bay. Brittany Hughes had a triple and Stephanie Nichols had a double for the Lady Pioneers.
However, the Pioneers fell to Tennessee High on Tuesday, 6-0.
In the Tiny Day Tournament, Boone defeated Chuckey-Doak by a score of 7-0, while David Crocketts Lady Pioneers fell to Unaka by the same score.
Crockett did beat Cloudland 11-5 in the tournament, and Daniel Boone continued their domination in a win over Sullivan North 15-1.
