Boone, Crockett baseball teams record wins at William Blount tourney, face off later in the week

A three-run homer from Daniel Boone’s Hayden Chandley helped his team defeat Bradley Central 10-4 on Saturday in the William Blount tournament in Maryville.
Coming to an early lead, Boone had five runs in the second inning and Chandley’s home run sealed the deal.
The Trailblazer had hits from Kyle Hicks, Jacob Littleton and Chris Goodman.
On Thursday, David Crockett’s Clinton Freeman ended the Pioneer’s game against Bradley Central with a solo home run in the botton of the seventh inning, pushing the Pioneers to a 12-11 win in Maryville.
Crockett also defeated Dobyns-Bennett 7-0 on Wednesday.
David Crockett beat Daniel Boone 14-1 in a shortened game that only went to five innings. Pioneer pitcher Chris Marti came away with the win, while Boone’s Kevin Connell took home the loss.
Every player in Crockett’s nine-man lineup came away with a big hit on the night.
The team totaled 16 hits, with Sam Tartlon going 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Drue Deloach adding a 2-for-4 night with 3 RBIs. Jacob Berry, Joe Ganger, Aaron Blevins and Jacob Adkins also added two hits each for the Pioneers.
In the final inning, the Pioneers scored eight runs.
