Boone boys win, girls falter against Tennessee High

The Daniel Boone Trailblazers came out ahead Friday night, defeating Tennessee High 42-37.
Boone’s Hayden Chandley led the way for the Trailblazers, racking up 15 points in the victory, including a trio of three-pointers. Boone’s Austin Reppart put up 8 points while Travis Keever and Kevin Connell each recorded 6 points in the conference match up.
The first quarter of the game ended with an 11-11 tie, but Boone was able to earn a five-point lead in the second quarter to make the game 22-17 going into the second half.
Tennessee High came back in the third, outscoring Boone 12-6 to put the Trailblazers down by a point as the fourth quarter got underway.
But Boone stepped it up in the final quarter of play, scoring 14 points to Tennessee High’s 8 to win the game.
In girls’ action, the Lady Trailblazers were unable to keep up against Tennessee High falling by a score of 56-29.
Tennessee High started out quick, taking an 18-6 lead by the end of the first quarter. By the time the half rolled around, Tennessee High was up 28-14. The Lady Trailblazers were unable to get their offense rolling in the second half, too.
Leading the Lady Blazers was Natalie Sheffey, who recorded 11 of the team’s 29 points.
