Both Washington County teams were victorious on Friday night, with David Crockett grabbing their first win in school history at Tennessee High with a 33-14 victory. Not to be out done, Daniel Boone scored a 36-27 victory over Cocke County.

The Pioneers were led by senior Darian DeLapp who returned a 97-yard kickoff for a touchdown in the first half and sealed the contest with an interception he returned for a touchdown. With the win, the Pioneers are guaranteed a playoff spot, regardless of the outcome of the Musket Bowl. TK Hill finished with a touchdown and 89 yards on 29 carries. Freshman quarterback Cade Larkins completed 11 of 18 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown and two interceptions.

Daniel Boone was led by freshman running back Charlie Cole, who carried the ball 23 time for 243 yards and four touchdowns. The Blazers were able to win the contest without completing their only pass of the contest. Now, Daniel Boone must top David Crockett in order to make the playoffs. If that were to happen, it would be the first time in county history that both schools make the playoffs.
