‘Blazers fall to Tennessee High, Pioneers to D-B

On Monday, Tennessee High defeated Daniel Boone 11-1.
The ‘Blazers couldn’t stop Tennessee High’s Cody Snyder, who went 4-for-5, hit a solo home run and had two RBIs. The game was close until the sixth inning, when the Vikings scored six runs, making the game 9-1.
On Tuesday night, the David Crockett Pioneers lost a game to Dobyns-Bennett in the sixth inning, when the Indians scored six runs, and then went on to win 13-8.
The Indians began the scoring early, 1-0, but Crockett starter Clinton Freeman had a strikeout, one of his 10 on the game, to end the inning. Jacob Berry, who went 3-for-5 in the game, and Freeman, 2-for-5, helped even up the score and even put the Pioneers ahead 2-1 in the first inning.
Crockett’s Joe Ganger and Aaron Blevins put Crockett up 5-1 in the third inning. However, the Indians weren’t done scoring. Not only did Dobyns-Bennett tie up the score, but they soon pulled ahead, getting the best of Freeman.
Tuesday saw a win for Boone. The Trailblazers defeated Sullivan Central, 5-2.
The Daniel Boone Trailblazers also scored a win against Virginia High, 9-4.
Kevin Connell went 3-for-4, and Josh Starkey went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Chris Goodman was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Daniel Wagner picked up the win on the mound for Boone, who went to 9-11 with the victory.
On Friday, Knox Farragut beat Crockett 15-1.
