Still no real consensus on warming

Recently the President offered a new plan to address climate change, worrying that his children may not have a future due to global warming. If you need to worry, you should worry about global cooling, or maybe something else.
Consider that Sydney, Australia, has snow for the first time since 1836, since approximately 35-40 years before the Civil War, before Andrew Jackson was visiting the Chester Inn and elected President. Likewise, there was snow in Hawaii and California, and Antarctica set a new record for ice accumulation.
Consequently those “settled scientists,” hoping for some indication at least one of their apocalyptic projections and prophecies would come true, must deal with facts; that global warming has been on hiatus for about 20 years as more complete and accurate satellite data shows no warming.
The President’s science czar, John Holdren, said global warming was holding off global cooling, noting, “In their current phases, they would be gradually cooling the Earth — taking us to another ice age — if they weren’t being more than offset by human-caused warming.”
The fact that there is no real consensus, that science is based on fact, and that the facts tell a different story than failed predictions, is of little consequence to our leaders. They get a lot of money from “Big Environment” and there is a lot of money to be made selling solar panels, windmills and the like.
Amazingly, organizations like PETA have stood by while species like birds, bats, bald eagles, etc. are being destroyed by the tens of thousands daily by windmills and superheated air (up to 1,000 degrees) from solar farms.
PETA and the media, so worried about Leo the lion in Africa, are uninterested in the killing of these species.
Yet it is these species that attack crop destroying insects by the hundreds of thousands daily right here in America!
Meanwhile, many of these same folks lament the use of chemicals on our farms to kill insects, and the fact that we have a growing inability to produce enough food. They focus on making costly microscopic regulatory changes in America that destroy our agricultural and industrial capability rather than advocate change in the worst polluting nations. But it’s not about the saving the planet.
No, none of this makes sense until you listen to Christiana Figueres, head of Climate Change in the UN.  She notes the task the global warming crowd has given themselves “is to intentionally transform the economic development model…”
She notes further, “This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for, at least, 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution.”
This economic model, by the way, made America a world leader in less than 200 years, able to win two world wars, to create an economic powerhouse and to lift itself and other nations out of poverty, cure diseases, and feed starving nations.
There you have it. The policy priority is NOT fixing mother nature (aka global whatever). Leaders in government and the U.N. want more control of our lives, our freedom and our liberty, and they are succeeding. This is why we are in the mess we are in.
