JONESBOROUGH —Mrs. Sandra Ann Hartwick lost her courageous 12-year battle with breast cancer, and went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 28. She loved Charlie Mauk, her husband and soul mate of 22 years with all her heart, and stepdaughter Holly Kimlan Mauk, her mother Rose Burgess, her sister and best friend Karen Heiler, as well as 2 brothers, 3 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law, 8 nieces and nephews and 13 great nice and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Reuel Hartwick. Sandi was very active as a fundraiser for Relay for Life and was given the 2015 Volunteer of the Year Award by Relay for Life of Jonesborough a few days before her passing. She loved her church family at Jonesborough United Methodist Church, where she was active as a volunteer. Sandy was a bright light in this world and will continue to shine on because she helped so many people. She lived life to its fullest and lit the way for others with her beautiful and kind smile.
Celebration of life services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 31 at Jonesborough United Methodist Church with Pastor Karen Lane officiating.
