Arthur Foster

Mr. Arthur B. Foster, age 92, Limestone, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at John M. Reed Nursing Home with his wife, Ruth Foster and step-daughter, Bonnie by his side.
He leaves another step-daughter, Karen Crane and husband Rev. Don Crane and family of Greenfield, Indiana; also surviving step-granddaughter, Heather Cahill and husband Mike and family; and a sister, Dorothy Jacobson.
Mr. Foster graduated from Wisconsin University receiving an M.A. Degree. He taught Agriculture, Chemistry and Physics at Washington College Academy, where he and his first wife, Isabelle lived for over 50 years.
He had been involved in many community activities including his church, Salem Presbyterian Church, Senior Citizens, Retired Teachers Association, Ruritan Club and Vocational Education.
Mr. Foster was revered by his students and all his friends. He loved them all and would not allow anyone to be defamed.
The Tennessee Health Care Association named Art as a member of the 2010 Who’s Who in Tennessee Nursing Homes for lifetime achievement.
A memorial service was conducted at Salem Presbyterian Church, Washington College, on December 29, 2011 with his son-in-law, Rev. Don Crane officiating.
