C. Todd Asbury, president and CEO of New Peoples Bank, is pleased to announce the promotion of Landon McGlothlin to executive vice president and chief operations officer/chief information officer.

McGlothlin officially assumed the roles on Jan. 24, 2023. McGlothlin has been with New Peoples Bank since 2005, previously serving as the senior vice president and chief information officer.

“I am extremely proud of Landon and have enjoyed witnessing his professional development at New Peoples Bank,” said Asbury. “From the early days of his career at New Peoples Bank while still in high school, he has shown great potential. He has applied himself diligently by learning and taking on additional responsibilities and challenges. Landon is a great example for others to follow and has proven his worthiness for this promotion. His leadership has been and will continue to be instrumental in the days ahead to help us accomplish our vision and mission.”

McGlothlin is a graduate of King University, where he earned his bachelor of business administration, bachelor of information technology and master of business administration with concentration in Management Information Systems. He is also a graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association School of Bank Management, the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Bank Technology Management and Bank Technology Security School. In addition, he holds multiple technology and security certifications.
