The Jonesborough Genealogical Society will host its February Genealogy Day on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 10 a.m. at the Chester Inn State Historic Site and Museum Board Room, Jonesborough. The society will host speaker, Sherry Sorrells Finchum, on “Genetic Genealogy.”
Sherry Sorrells Finchum retired with over 38 years in the field of education, having taught Home Economics, 2nd grade, kindergarten and ending her career with 18 years as the elementary curriculum supervisor for Jefferson County Schools.
She has over 30 years of genealogy research and 20 years of genetic genealogy experience.
She has presented genealogy and DNA presentations for genealogical and historical societies, DAR chapters, and many family association groups.
