Organizers for the second annual Taste of Jonesborough are calling it a success.

More than 150 people attended the April 17 event, which was sponsored by the Jonesborough Area Merchants and Service Association.

Held at the International Storytelling Center, dozens of vendors were on hand to introduce guests to their businesses.

Tasting opportunities included a wide array of food and beverages ranging from a “Name Our New Soup” offering from The Creekside Restaurant to a lavender-infused lemonade from Scott County Lavender.

The event, which also featured a silent auction and music by the Jonesborough Novelty Band, raised more than $4,000.

JAMSA is donating a portion of the proceeds to the Jonesborough Area Ministerial Association’s food pantry.
