Griffin Art Gallery will take applications for an upcoming art show. This call asks artists to submit work that celebrates the arrival of Spring in Appalachia. Paintings, drawings, mixed media, glass, sculpture and printmaking will be considered. Entry deadline is midnight, Saturday, April 1. Artists living in the region are encouraged to apply.
Opening reception for “April Flowers Bring May Flowers” will be Friday, April 14. The show will run until Saturday, May 13.
Artists should submit jpeg photos with information including title, medium, size, year completed and price of their work. Paintings may not exceed 60 inches in width. Artwork should be ready to be displayed and must be for sale. Please include a short bio and artist statement. Actual artwork must be delivered to the gallery by Friday, April 7, by 4 p.m. Accepted artwork will be included in the show, Griffin Art Gallery will take a 25% commission on any items sold.
