Whoa there!

An unusual visitor spent about a week at the firing range atop Persimmon Ridge in Jonesborough. The small horse was spotted by several hikers in the area, some of whom fed him to be sure he would make it through the cold winter days. According to dispatchers, the horse likely broke free from a nearby farm to find himself in the unusual grazing grounds. Authorities initially believed he would find his way back home, but rescued the horse last week after it appeared he wasn’t planning on leaving any time soon. The animal was taken to an area animal hospital while authorities attempted to find its owner.
