Wetlands Water Park completed multiple renovations this year including a new slide liner, two replaced slides and a new filter pump as well as a chlorine pump.
They are currently repainting and repairing the exterior of the building, deck area and interiors, including the offices and restrooms, and are updating the landscaping. These updates are scheduled to be finished before the grand opening. All renovations have taken three months to complete.
“We are thrilled to unveil all of the updates at the water park this year! It is a fun place and we want the best possible experience for our customers,” Town of Jonesborough Parks & Recreation Director Matt Townsend said. “All of these combined renovations should make for a great experience for our attendees.”
The grand opening is on Saturday, May 29, from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. Wetlands Water Park is located within Persimmon Ridge Park in Jonesborough and has been the premiere Tri-Cities summertime family destination for over 25 years.
Wetlands Water Park, offers a wide variety of family friendly fun including three flume water slides, two family otter slides, a lazy river, zero depth entry pool, full-service café and beach volleyball court. Wetlands Water Park also plays host to numerous private parties, birthday parties, swim lessons and special events throughout the season.
Season passes are now on sale and may be purchased online at wetlandsjonesborough.com, by visiting the Historic Jonesborough Visitors Center or calling (423) 753-1553. Purchasing a Wetlands season pass gives you access to the Water Park for the entirety of the season as well as discounted rates on birthday parties, swim lessons and other events.
Regular hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. through 6 p.m.
