“I just would like to have one more term,” Sheffield said. “I want to work with the full commission.”
1. What are the challenges in your district?
“Since the majority is in the city limits, I want to make sure the city and county work together well. Most of the calls I have received about the roads, or snow in one case, have been taken care of immediately. I have received several calls about Carter County cars bringing trash to our convenience centers because Carter County charges, and we are trying to watch out for that.”
2. What does the relationship between the commission and the county officials need to be?
“It would be nice if it was all hunky-dory. I think that everyone should have more trust in the other, and we should work together like a family.”
