Restaurant leadership changes before doors open

There has been a change in leadership at a soon-to-open restaurant in Jonesborough,
Last week’s Herald & Tribune carried the story of the plans to open Daily Bread, a new eatery owned by George and Denise Shinn.
It was also reported that Jayson Oaks and his sister, Amy Turner, would be managing the restaurant located at 125 E. Jackson Blvd., a location once occupied by Pansy’s Pantry, a restaurant formerly owned by Oaks.
However, Denise Shinn has confirmed that she and husband, George, have decided to make a change and now Oaks and Turner will not be working with Daily Bread. Instead, she said, Bistro 105 owner Todd Dawn will be coming on board.
“We loved the food at Bistro 105 and developed a relationship with the owner, Todd Dawn,” Shinn said. “When we decided we wanted to part ways with Jayson and Amy, we called Todd to help us through the beginning stages of opening the restaurant,” she said.“He will serve as a managing consultant for us.”
Shinn said that although Dawn will be assisting with Daily Bread, he will also continue to own and operate Bistro 105.
Daily Bread will open Tuesday, Nov. 15, and will serve breakfast and lunch seven days a week. “We’ll see how that goes and evaluate and then later maybe open a couple of nights a week for dinner,” Shinn said.
