Methamphetamine components found on side of road in Washington County

Washington County deputies discovered components to making methamphetamine during a call last week.
According to reports, authorities were called to the 100 block of John Garst road on Feb. 17 to investigate a suspicious package.
Deputies located a backpack next to the road that contained ingredients to manufacture methamphetamine.
The Methamphetamine Task Force was called in to assist with the clean up of the hazardous materials.
An investigation is continuing into who owned the backpack and its contents. Anyone with information can call the Sheriff’s Office at 788-1414.
