Lynch announces candidacy for county commissioner

Ted Lynch recently announced as a candidate for Washington County Commissioner in the 6th commission district.
Lynch is a 35-year citizen of Washington County.
He has been married to his wife, Brenda, for 46 years. They live on Hairetown Road in the Hales Community.
The couple has two children, three grandchildren and one-great grandson.
Their children and two of their grandchildren have attended Washington County Schools.
Lynch is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Social Welfare degree.
He retired after 30 years from the Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole as a a Probation/Parole officer. He, along with his wife, ran a successful business, The Bean Pot.
Lynch is a current member of the Hales Community Ruritan, former member of the Leesburg Ruritan with a combined perfect attendance of 31 years.
He is recipient of the Distinguished Ruritan Member Award.
Lynch is also currently serving on the Washington County Regional Planning Commission and Jonesborough Planning Commission.
“I am on a fixed income and I live within my means,” Lynch said. “I expect Washington County Government to do the same.”
Voting precincts for the 6th district are Midway Outside, Fire Training Station, Asbury, Marvin’s Chapel, Jonesborough Visitors’ Center, and Jonesborough Courthouse.
