Local woman seeking balance for town board
Nansee Williams is a third candidate in the race for two open seats on the Jonesborough Board of Mayor and Aldermen.
Williams qualified for the towns municipal election by the Aug. 21 deadline, but was not included in the article printed in last weeks issue due to an error by the Herald & Tribune.
She and her husband, Bob, are innkeepers of the Carriage House Bed and Breakfast.
Electing a woman to serve on the Board of Mayor and Aldermen will bring a healthy balance to the decision-making process, Williams said.
Listening and communicating with voters is a key element to any towns success, as the major decisions the board makes today directly affect our children and grandchildren.
Williams will face David Sell and Chuck Vest in the Nov. 4 election. Early voting begins Wednesday, Oct. 15.
