Jonesborough Theatre to hold auditions for A Christmas Story
The Jonesborough Repertory Theatre will hold auditions for A Christmas Story on Sunday and Monday, Oct. 5 and 6, at the Stage Door Box Office located beside the Theatre at 7 p.m.
This stage production of the classic family movie will give both adults and kids the chance at famous lines like Youll shoot your eye out, Its a major award, Oh, fudge and I cant put my arms down.
The audition will consist of group cold readings. Characters needed include Ralphie Parker, Adult Ralphie, Ralphies dad The Old Man, Ralphies mother, Ralphies brother Randy, Ralphies teacher Miss Shields, Ralphies friends Flick and Schwartz, Helen Weathers, Esther Jane Alberry and the bully Scut Farkas.
The following age ranges are needed:
2 Men – Age: 30s 50s
2 Women – Age: 20s 50s
1 Teen Boy – Age: 10 20
3 Boys – Age: 8 16
2 Girls – Age: 8 16
1 Child – Age: 5 10
