Four-legged fundraising brings in more than $6,200 at BARK FOR LIFE

Dogs and their owners came together Saturday to take part in the American Cancer Society’s second annual Bark For Life event at the Millennium Centre in Johnson City. Dogs competed in costume and talent contests, earning prizes and treats. Several dogs also raised money for the battle against cancer, with more than $6,200 brought in through the event. The top 13 fundraising dogs earned spots on the 2011 Bark For Life calendar, put out by Happy Tails, a publication about animals and the people who love them.
