Courthouse Cafe closes its doors just weeks after opening them
From STAFF REPORTS
It seems to be open and shut case for a new eatery located near the courthouse in downtown Jonesborough
Only two months after opening amid much fanfare, the Courthouse Café has closed its doors.
Owner Charles Showman, a retired nurse, acknowledged that he is in the process of closing out the business during a phone conversation with the Herald & Tribune late last week.
The restaurant was located at Dogwood Lane across from the Washington County Courthouse in the historic district.
Amid reports that Showman has said he will reopen in a different Jonesborough location, he declined to discuss any future plans, saying he has to finish closing this place before I can even think about doing something else.
