Radio hour to celebrate towns Christmas past
Jonesboroughs Original Storytelling Radio Hour comes to the International Storytelling Stage on Monday, Nov. 25, at 7 p.m. with stories, skits and songs all about Jonesboroughs Christmas Past. The show will also be recorded for a future broadcast on WETS 89.5 FM.
In this months show, its Christmas Eve 1968, and Curt the paperboy is delivering more than just the news tonight.
Will James make it home from the War? Will his child remember him? Will the Brooks children get a bicycle? And what exactly did the Boones Creek Boys do at the Erwin Parade with that old possum?
Celebrate the season with the Yarn Exchange and join us for some holiday cheer.
Through a grant with the Harris Fund and in partnership with East Tennessee State University, you can tune in to their broadcasts on WETS FM 89.5 or stream online at wets.org on HD Channel 1, on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 8 p.m. A Night with the Yarn Exchange is part of Jonesboroughs Mary B. Martin Program for the Arts
