Eavers, Fisher wed

Jennifer Mae Eavers and Andrew James Fisher were united in marriage on July 18, 2009 at 4 p.m. at Old Providence Church in Spottswood, VA. The Rev. Max Bolin and Dorothy Lloyd Williams of Wales, UK, officiated the ceremony. Lawana Mayo, organist/pianist and Megan Crumley, Audra Foshie, and Jim Fisher, vocalists, provided the music.
The bride is the daughter of Bobby and Patty Eavers of Staunton, VA, and is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Eavers, Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest R. Fitzgerald.
The groom is the son of Jim and Lynnea Fisher of Jonesborough, TN, and is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Fisher and Mr. F. Edwin Bair and the late Mrs. Lillian Bair.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and was escorted by her father. She wore Ireland by Maggie Sottero in a soft shade of ivory. The gossamer Chiffon gown offered a Grecian look with the billowing baby-doll silhouette. The elaborate Swarovski Crystal beaded band at the empire cutline intensified the vertically ruched bodice. The flowing skirt fell into an extended chapel length train. The bride wore a satin tie headband adorned with rhinestones and crystals and a fingertip veil.
The Matron of Honor was Heather Eavers, sister-in-law of the bride of Stuarts Draft, VA; the Bridesmaids were Elin Todd, sister of the groom, of Boone, NC; Kristin Newby, sister of the groom of Aiken, SC; Rebecca Bolin, friend of the bride of Greenwood, SC. The flower girl was Katrina Newby, niece of the groom of Aiken, SC.
The Best man was Jim Fisher, father of the groom of Jonesborough, TN; the Groomsmen were Justin Curtis, friend of the groom of Newland, NC; Andy Keen, friend of the groom of Kingsport, TN; Chris Eavers, brother of the bride of Stuarts Draft, VA; and Peter Newby, brother-in-law of the groom of Aiken, SC. The ring bearers were Rowen Todd of Boone, NC and Conner Newby of Aiken, SC, both nephews of the groom.
The wedding directors were Donna Sheets and Cathy Ward.
The dinner and dance reception followed the ceremony and was hosted by the bride’s parents at Sugar Loaf Farm and the greeters were Kathy McLear, and Dorita and Whitney Edwards.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Riverheads High School and East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, TN. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Administration and is employed by Gourmet & Co. She plans to pursue her Master’s degree in fall 2010.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Daniel Boone High School and attended East Tennessee State University. He is employed by Mellow Mushroom as an Assistant Manager.
The bride and groom honeymooned in Negril, Jamaica, and reside in Gray, Tennessee.
