4-H hosts ‘Project Celebration Day’

From STAFF REPORTS
Approximately 130 members of 4-H clubs in Washington, Greene, Unicoi and Sullivan counties participated in a 4-H Project Celebration Day earlier this month at the Appalachian Fairgrounds in Gray.
The event was a chance for the kids to have fun learning about all kinds of 4-H projects through an estimated 30 hands-on classes offered throughout the day.
Classes offered focused on a variety of topics, including woodworking, gardening, electricity, basketry, cooking, animal care and more.
Each attendee took part in three sessions during the celebration, which took place on June 3. Organizers aimed to teach students to work on their independent projects, interact with other members, increase their knowledge and showcase their accomplishments.
