Staff, residents at John M. Reed honor their graduates

From STAFF REPORTS

School may be out due to the recent health crisis, but that didn’t mean the high school seniors who work at John M. Reed Assisted Living Memory Care couldn’t be celebrated.

A senior graduation parade was held on Saturday to honor the high school and college graduates that work at the facility.

The graduates include Katelynn Pfeifer (David Crockett High School), Bailey Britton (David Crockett High School), Emily Iorga (Tusculum University, graduating with her B.S.N), Breanna Henderson (David Crockett High School), Sierra Lambert (David Crockett High School), Lisa Simpson (Northeast State Community College, graduating with her A.A.S in Business Management), Taylor Greenwell (David Crockett High School), Alexis Waldrop (West Greene High School), Cassidy Rupert (David Crockett High School), Trinity Hall (David Crockett High School) and Heather Parsons (David Crockett High School).

“We wanted to celebrate the students with the residents and the community to show them our appreciation for their accomplishments that they have made through this difficult time, John Reed Director of Nursing Natasha Miller said. “All of the students have brought a whole new level of energy and excitement to John M. Reed for our residents. Our residents have loved hearing all of the laughter and fun the students have brought into our facility to share with them every day. Without all of the students love and dedication, we could not have made it this far under all the circumstances that have been thrown our way through this pandemic.

“I hope each one of them know how much they mean to me, as their director of nursing, because each day I know I can entrust the residents care in their hands without worry.”
