Ridgeview kindergarteners celebrate 100 days of school

Left to right, kindergarten students Callie Barkley, Maci Williams and Lily Marshall construct a 100-cup tower in celebration of their 100th day of school.

Kindergarten classes held their 100th Day of School celebration at Ridgeview Elementary.  The celebration began at 11:30 a.m. and ended around 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26.

Activities included:

– 100 sticker crown: Students counted out 100 stickers and decorated crowns with them.

– 100 Day snack mix: Students counted out 10 items of 10 different snacks to make “100 snack mix”.

– 100 Day jewelry: Students counted out 100 Fruit Loops and stung them together to create a 100-day necklace.

Teachers also had each child take home a number, one through 100, decorate it however they wanted and the teachers then included the number in a 100-day number mural at the end of the Kindergarten hall.  After the celebration, the teachers took the numbers down in order to have the students count how many days of school are left.
