Zella Scott -

Mrs. Zella Marie Morelock Scott, age 67, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Scott was a native of Sullivan County and daughter of the late Oren & Maud Conkin Grimsley.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Scott was also preceded in death by three brothers, O.M. Grimsley, Glen Grimsley and Paul Grimsley; and a sister, Mae Hite.

She was a longtime member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Scott was a Homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Scott, Jonesborough; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny & Vickie Morelock, Lester & Khris Morelock, all of Fall Branch, and Chad Scott, Jonesborough; daughter, Tonya McKee, Johnson City; sisters, Clara Lee Bates, St. Petersburg, FL, and Elizabeth “Tiny” Plueddemann, Sevierville, TN; grandchildren, Aubrey Morelock, Avery Morelock, Morgan Morelock, Brenda Ireson, Lucy Morelock, Alyssa Williams, Samuel Scott, Kicks Scott and Cameron McKee.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Lester Morelock officiating.

Interment services followed at Eden-Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clifford Huffine, Chad Scott, Mark McKee, Aubrey Morelock, Avery Morelock and Johnny Morelock.
