Gearing up for fall

Members of David Crockett High School’s football team took the field last week and began preparation for their 2010-2011 season, which is set to begin in August.

The Pioneers will be among the teams to open their football season in “Week Zero,” along with Science Hill, Daniel Boone, Elizabethton, Unicoi County and Johnson County.

David Crockett has the earliest area opener, when they are set to play Sullivan East on August 19.

The rest of the teams will begin their seasons on August 27.
