While games later in the week found themselves “on ice,” the David Crockett and Daniel Boone girls’ basketball teams managed to get in a pair of games before inclement weather reached the area.

Crockett’s Lady Pioneers were unsuccessful in their Jan. 26 match-up against Tennessee High, losing by a score of 62-18. Crockett’s leading scorers included Brittany Richardt with 5 points; Brittany Ward, Brittany Halter and Molly Gladden each with 3 points; Hannah Jarrett with 2; and Keri Blevins and Leah Rose each with one point.

On Jan. 27, the Lady Pioneers fell to Sullivan Central.

On Jan. 26, Boone took on Dobyns-Bennett. The Lady Indians proved too strong, defeating the Blazers, 58-30.
