Get on board with what’s happening at Senior Center

The latest event to be planned through the Jonesborough Senior Center is our mystery/comedy dinner show, “Jewel of De‘Nial.”

It is set on the set of a cruise. As the cruise ship pulls anchor, you will begin your all inclusive voyage with fine cuisine, world class entertainment, amenities, excursions and some twists and turns on the high seas.

The meal will be catered by The Dining Room.

A free Bahamas Cruise for two will be awarded to a lucky winner courtesy of Kathy Kennedy from Cruise Planners.

The dates for the show are March 7-8 at 6:30 p.m. Photos with the captain will be available from 6-6:30 p.m.

Cost is $20 to attend. Deadline to purchase tickets is March 1.

Chili Day

A Chili Day Luncheon is planned at the Senior Center for Thursday, Feb. 28, from 12-1:30 p.m.

We will be serving bowls of chili, cornbread, baked potatoes with chili, hot dogs with chili and dessert (without chili, unless we want to try to start a new craze).

Prices range from $3-$8 depending on what you order. Deadline to sign up for the chili lunch is Monday, Feb. 18, by calling the center at 753-4781.

Special music will be provided during the lunch by the Old Timer’s Band.

Take a moment this week and call a friend to cheer up their day. Your call just might put a smile on their face and a spark in their heart!
