ETTAC provides toys for children with disabilities

The East Tennessee Technology Access Center is giving away adapted battery operated toys for the holidays to children with disabilities who cannot use their hands to play with typical toys.

Parents with children who have a disability with this need can call 865-219-0130 to register their children for a toy.

ETTAC will deliver toys to the Division of Rehabilitation Services office in Johnson City at 905 Buffalo St. or 103 E. Walnut St. for parents to pick if they cannot drive to ETTACís office in Knoxville, which is located at 116 Childress St..

Parents calling to register for a toy should indicate to which office they would prefer ETTAC bring the toy.

The East Tennessee Technology Access Center is the regionís only nonprofit agency that helps people with disabilities gain knowledge of assistive technology devices to help them work, learn and play.

ETTAC serves people in 24 counties of East Tennessee.
