‘Nutcracker’ auditions set for this month in Jonesborough

WSB Production will hold auditions for “Nutcracker, the Musical” at the Jonesborough Visitors Center, on Monday, Oct. 15, and Monday, Oct. 22, both at 7 p.m.

Auditions for singing, acting and dancing parts will be held for ages 4 to adult. Everyone who auditions will have a part in the musical. Most costumes will be provided. The performance will be Friday, Dec. 14, at the Visitors Center.

The WSB Production team includes Gay Whitt, Cherry Smith and Robin Beals.

Whitt is a member of Dance Masters, Dance Educators and the International Tap Association. She has been a dance educator for 56 years. Smith has 42 years experience in music education, vocal and theater coaching. With degrees from East Tennessee State University and Cincinnanti Conservatory of Music, she is currently the music director at Jonesborough Presbyterian Church. Beals performed with “Up with People” nationally and internationally and holds an exercise physiology degree from ETSU. She is the choreographer for the David Crockett and Science Hill choral departments and has 35 years experience as a dance educator.
