Teen reading program to begin June 12

The libraries in Jonesborough and Gray will host a Teen Summer Reading Program this year.

The theme, “Own the Night” will feature a series of one hour programs for six weeks – Tuesdays at 3 p.m. at the Gray Library, and Thursdays at 3 p.m. at the Jonesborough Library.

Weekly topics range from dream journals and ghost stories to vampires and superheroes. Teens can also participate by keeping track of reading on logs. Each completed reading log turned in and each program attended will qualify as an entry for the grand prize, which is a Nook or a Kindle.

Youth ages 12-17 can register at either library. For more information, call the Jonesborough Library at 753-1800 or the Gray Library at 477-1550.
