Annual Boones Creek Day set for June 9

On Saturday, June 9, the Boones Creek Historical Trust will host its annual Boones Creek Day event.

More than 50 crafters and exhibitors will gather on the grounds of the Boone Creek Potters Gallery on Boones Creek Road from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Artists, including featured potter Tim Roberts, will be demonstrating their crafts during the event. Exhibit booths will also be on display, featuring Daniel Boone knives, a glassblower, handmade soaps, wood turning, and more.

Local legend Lightnin’’ Charlie will bring the main stage alive during the event while bluegrass band Rockingham Road will also perform. Other musical entertainment will be provided by the Dennis Cove Band picking on the porch and Trey Hensley with his band, Drivin’ Miss Crazy.

Admission is by donation, with a $1 suggested price.

Boones Creek Potters Gallery is located at 2362 Boones Creek Road.
